She also has her personal mini shrine of the maid anime character.
This is true for Singapore-based cosplayer and streamer Xiaoyukiko, whose anime waifu is, and she’ll reply Re: Zero’s Rem in a flash.
Xiaoyukiko lately spoke to the media about the Singapore cosplay community, her Genshin Impact husbando, and her latest video game obsession.
Xiaoyukiko on the Singapore cosplay scene
You may have watched her presence around the Helix Bridge, roaming the Jewel Changi Airport, or meeting with her admirers at the SG Aniplus Cafe. Besides learning the hottest local spots, cosplayer Xiaoyukiko also understands the Singapore cosplay community.
“The Singapore cosplay community is very supportive and (is) inclined to stand up for what is right,” shared Xiaoyukiko with the media.
She believes the hobby is about participation and never about competition, so she wishes to assist the scene’s rookies.
“We need to welcome and assist the fresh and less-experienced cosplayers with warmth so that additional enthusiasts could join us in this hobby,” she cited.
Notwithstanding the current COVID-19 pandemic and never-ending mutations, this Rem-loving cosplayer has handled visits and joined photoshoots.
“Full events or shows are not really advisable currently, and it got tougher to immerse with people. Having the whole nine yards online-only is frankly less fun,” she confessed.
Xiaoyukiko has cosplayed about 25 Re: Zero’s blue-haired anime Rem editions. Bunny Rem, angel Rem, and believe it or not, a wedding Rem — this hot and talented girl might just be the biggest Re: Zero fans we have ever seen!
Honkai Impact 3 x Genshin Impact contest
Xiaoyukiko also was one of the judges for Impunity Esports’ recently concluded Honkai Impact 3 x Genshin Impact competition. The contest showed fans’ creativity in the two role-playing video games established on the latest Genshin Impact x Honkai Impact event partnership.
As the judge for the Livestream classification, she instantly fell in love with Angie0_0’s streaming configuration and setup. Angie’s crisp audio, sharp camera quality, and outstanding lighting won her US$1,000 and an ASUS ROG router.
“I just loved how she exhibited herself in front of the camera,” stated Xiaoyukiko. “She caught the audience’s eye while still being professional.”
Malaysian content creator Angie dressed as the traveler Lumine on her first ever cosplay stream of the year. She displayed Honkai Impact’s Outworld Quest, which stars Electro girls Fischl and Keqing.
Xiaoyukiko’s beloved Genshin Impact character is Zhongli, the Geo polearm utilizer.
Hence, she has dressed up as Genshin Impact girls Ganyu, Hu Tao, Barbara, Keqing, and Amber.
